Palace Jar, Kangxi ( 1662 - 1722 )
An excellent Palace jar from the Kangxi period. A top quality design and in an ovoid shape with ribbed middle sections. Three lines in brown making the jar very sophisticated. The scenery showing two windows with a four clewed dragon and two windows with a carps. An excellent rare jar in a quality that even very few museums can show from their collections. The jar has been in the Wayland Wieslander Collection. Condition: The rim has a polished area (probably a restored ship). And the bottom has a hairline going from the middle of the body over to the middle of the bode on the next side. The hairline is visible on the bottom, but very hard to see elsewhere. Measurement: high 23.3 cm = 9.2 in width 22.3 cm = 8.8 in
